Online Event via Zoom with Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for West Glamorgan, Louise Fleet JP
Swansea Bay Business Club is delighted to partner with Swansea University School of Management who is hosting a free online event via Zoom at 2pm on Wednesday 15 July. We’re thrilled to welcome Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for West Glamorgan, Louise Fleet JP, as guest speaker.
Louise Fleet is a former High Sheriff of West Glamorgan (2017) and has lived in Sketty for more than 40 years. A serving magistrate on the West Glamorgan Bench (appointed in 1993), she has undertaken a wide range of magistrates’ roles including Deputy Chairman of the Bench and Chairman of the Family Panel. She has worked for Swansea University, the City & County of Swansea and the Wales Audit Office, retiring in 2018.
Louise also has strong local links within the community and voluntary sector. She is a trustee of Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Services, Thrive Women’s Aid, Tenovus Cancer Care, and the Magistrates Association. She is chair of the management committee of the Neath Port Talbot Child Contact Centre, an independent member of the Neath Port Talbot Council Standards Committee, and a member of the Family Justice Council and the Magistrates’ Association Family Courts Committee.
Louise will largely be focusing on the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise. Her knowledge of the awards and understanding of how businesses across the Swansea Bay City Region can benefit from entering will no doubt provide valuable insights for the members of our business community.
The free online event via Zoom will go ahead at 2pm on Wednesday 15 July. The event will last no longer than one hour, but guests will have the opportunity to stay online and enjoy an informal network with the business community; Swansea Bay Business Club board members will be hosting individual breakout rooms in the networking session following the proceedings.
We ask that you send in questions for the Q&A part of the event with Louise ahead of time. Please submit questions to [email protected] by close of business on Monday 13 July.
The details needed to enter the Zoom event will be circulated to guests on the morning of the event.
