ABF The Soldiers’ Charity to be Club’s Chosen Charity
Having had a 20-year career in the Army Reserve with The Royal Regiment of Wales and The Royal Welsh Regiment, retiring with the rank of Warrant officer (Sergeant Major), Alan Brayley has chosen ABF The Soldiers’ Charity throughout his term as Club President. The national charity of the British Army, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, provides support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families when they are in need.
Alan will be raising funds over the next two years at the Club’s lunches, as well as through external events. He’s participating in The Soldiers’ Charity Sahara Desert Challenge in November, where he will trek 100km through the Sahara Desert over five days to fundraise for the charity.
