Join Swansea Bay Business Club for our July Lunch at the Village Hotel, Swansea, with guest speaker Torsten Bell, Member of Parliament for Swansea West and Minister for Pensions in the Department of Work and Pensions and HM Treasury.

On Friday 11th July 2025, Swansea Bay Business Club will meet at the Village Hotel. Attendees at the July Lunch will enjoy a delicious two-course meal, with the opportunity to network with fellow Swansea Bay Business Club members and guests from across the Swansea Bay City Region.

Torsten Bell is the Member of Parliament for Swansea West and Minister for Pensions in the Department of Work and Pensions and HM Treasury. He has a background in economic policy and research. Prior to being elected to Parliament, Torsten was the Chief Executive of the Resolution Foundation (2015 – 2024), Director of Policy for the Labour Party (2010 – 2015) and served in HM Treasury as a member of the Council of Economic Advisers during the financial crisis. He has been an Observer columnist, is an Honorary Professor at UCL, and is the author of Great Britain? How We Get Our Future Back.

From 11:00am – 12:00pm, informal networking will be taking place before our lunch event, with free refreshments, to give our members and guests extra time to network with fellow attendees. We encourage all those interested in networking and making connections to join us for this session.
