On Thursday 15th October 2026, Swansea Bay Business Club will meet at Machynys Peninsula Golf & Premier Spa, Llanelli. Attendees at the October Lunch will enjoy a delicious two-course meal, with the opportunity to network with fellow Swansea Bay Business Club members and guests from across the Swansea Bay City Region.

Simon Davies is Head of Economic Development and Property at Carmarthenshire County Council, leading the authority’s economic development, commercial and non-housing property functions. He is also Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for the Swansea Bay City Deal Regional Digital Infrastructure Programme. With extensive experience in strategic leadership, and major programme delivery, Simon has led complex transformation programmes and high-profile investment initiatives across local government.

An ILM Level 7 qualified Executive Coach and certified NLP Coach and Practitioner, he is passionate about leadership development, organisational change and helping individuals and teams realise their full potential. A fluent Welsh speaker, having learned as an adult, Simon brings a broad public-sector perspective to economic growth, place-based transformation and collaborative leadership.
